Avinash has a line he repeats often: every event he builds is “a piece of the heart.” It sounds sentimental until you watch him work with a couple who’s stuck, usually because they’ve been staring at inspiration boards for weeks, still searching for the one that finally feels right.<\/p>\n

His fix is wonderfully simple. Before you touch a vendor list, decide how you want the day to feel. Warm and intimate? Loud and celebratory? Rooted in tradition? Once that’s settled, everything else (the venue, the colors, the food) starts choosing itself. Couples who skip this step tend to end up with a wedding that photographs beautifully yet feels borrowed rather than truly theirs. It’s this instinct, starting from feeling first, ahead of aesthetics, that sets weddings planned by Encore apart and it’s why so many couples say the day felt unmistakably like them.<\/p>\n

Put a “something will go wrong” line in your budget<\/strong>
\nThis one comes up almost every time either founder talks about money. Not the venue cost, not the catering, but the surprise cost. The one nobody plans for. Weather shifts, a guest count that creeps up, a vendor swap you didn’t see coming.<\/p>\n

Their advice isn’t complicated: set aside 10 to 15% of your budget right at the start and treat it as real money, not a nice thing to have. In their experience, it’s the most predictable line item in the entire wedding, because something always comes up. \nSanjay talks about the early days of Encore a lot, a time when the events industry didn’t have the structure it does now and figuring out who you could actually trust took some hard lessons.
